The Savvy Awards is a chance for the buying public to show the designers that we appreciate all the hard work and effort they put into keep our heads warm throughout the year. The awards will work in two phases and the announcement of the winners will be at on September 19, 2008 at 8:00 PM SLT. The winners in each category will receive a trophy and award for each category they won.
Phase 1: Begins today until the end of the day on July 31, 2008 and will involve the hair designers nominating their peers in each category. The top 5 from the given categories will end up on the ballot. If you are a hair designer and have not received your ballot, please contact Teagan Blackthorne or Laynie Link for your nomination form. We are delivering ballots individually and with RL obligations is is taking some time.
Phase 2: Starts September 1, 2008 and ends at the end of the day September 15, 2008 and will involve the voting public to vote for their favorites on the ballot. More details on this phase will be posted at a later date.
Designers, please, if we missed you or your nomination ballot accidentally ended up in the circular file, let us know and we will send you on a new one.

Thank you to everyone who participated and voted in the 2007 Savvy Awards. The time has come to announce the winners. All of the designers nominated are greatly talented and well deserving the respect and honor of the public. Each category will be listed with the percentage of the votes they received in bold after. There are 4 categories in which there are tied winners and who are we do break those tie so we let them stand. Tigerlily Koi(now sole Calla designer) and Haedon Quine(now at Tousled), the girls over at Calla, swept every category they were nominated in.
The final nominations for the Savvy Awards are complete. We receive a diverse sample of what designers love about their peers with 46 different shops nominated. It is now time for the voting public to voice their opinions. Voting will be opened September 1 – September 14.
Voting Rules: 1. Only 1 ballot per person allowed. 2. Characters must have been created before August 26, 2007. 3. No ballots will be accepted after the end of the game day September 14, 2007.
The winners will be announced on September 19, International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
Best Philanthropy (The designer(s) who show the most generosity.) Bewitched – Sheltered Heart & FallinMy Webb -Offers the members of her group 1 color of each new release that is designed as well as randomly announced hair drops where free hair is given to anyone who shows up. Calico Creations – Calico Ingmann -She is heaviliy involved with the charity work for Virtual Angels and is constantly involved in events where the proceeds of her hair sales go to this charity. She always has two styles on had that benefit this charity as well. Calla & Tousled – Tigerlily Koi & Haedon Quine -Offering several hairstyles for free to new players as well as inovating a way to earn free hair by camping and several lucky chairs with hair, these girls are always involved in giving. This is the place for new players to pick up their free Jack or Jill newbie starter kits. They also offered styles with 100% of the proceeds going to Relay for Life. ETD – Elikapeka Tiramisu -Offers a large selection of styles for new players ranging from $1L to $10L that can keep anyone stylish. She has also offered styles with 100% of the proceeds going to Relay for Life. Gurl 6 – Six Kennedy -Offering freebies almost every holiday as well as a large collection of $1L hair for new players, Six Kennedy shows generosity through the gift of giving. She also offered styles with 100% of the proceeds going to Relay for Life.
