Bandana Day Reminder

This is your reminder that tomorrow is Bandana Day. It is asked that you do not wear prim hair tomorrow but instead a bandana to help fund Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.

Curl Up and Dye – Claire II

Curl Up and Dye is a large shop that caters to men and women. This style is also available in two colors as a freebie at the Hair Fair until April 14 and also at the shop.

The Claire II style is a long, straight style with a semi-ponytail that sits on the crown of the head and falls to the small of the back. The bangs are straight cut across the brow curling under with a tapered ends. The texture has a nice, healthy sheen to it. This style would match well with a nice set of silks.

The Claire II style costs $1500L for a fat pack, $300L per color and the demos are $1L. The colors included are: Black Shades(black, deep black, blue black, silver, white), Brown Shades(brown, brownred, red, ahsbrown), Red Shades(sunset, auburn, wine, wild orchid), Blonde Shades(blonde, platinum, ash blonde, sand, honey blonde), Anime Colors(blue, dk pink, green, pink, purple, bred).

Adam N Eve – Ripple

Today’s style is from Adam N Eve. This style is available as a freebie at the Hair Fair until April 14.

The Ripple style is a semi-curly updo with the hair pulled into a loose knot at the crown of the head with curled tendrils falling out of the knot and hanging down to the neckline. The face is frame with bangs that are parted just right of center with the same curled tendrils brushing the jawline and falling past of the earlobe. This style seems perfect for wearing at a formal event.

The Ripple style is free. The colors include: dirtyblonde, brown, and black.

Mystikal – Unisex Pony

Mystikal Hair is offering this Hair Fair exclusive along with one other that is not available in the shop so don’t miss it. Be sure to stop by Mystikal Hair and see the Comb Over style. It is a nice change from all the perfect male hair out there.

The Unisex Ponytail is another long, straight ponytail that falls from just below the crown to the small of the back however this pony has more tapering towards the ends. The face is framed by long bangs that part on the right and angle to the jawline. The highlights on this texture remind me of a sunny day at the beach with a healthy sheen to the entire texture. I think some hair designers are trying to change my hair color preference with these nice blondes that I have seen lately.

The Unisex Ponytail is completely free at the Hair Fair. This style only comes in the blonde shown however tinting instructions are included in the pack.

Bryce Designs – Julep

Bryce Designs is one of the only designers giving out freebies of his new exclusive hair at the hair fair. Bryce one half of the Wig Out group and sells hairstyle that are for men, women, and unisex styles.

The unisex Julep style is a long, straight ponytail that falls from just below the crown to the small of the back. The face is framed with chunky bangs that just brush at the cheekbones. The simplicity of this style makes it an easy wear for either a man or a woman.

The Julep style costs $1500L for the 44-color fat pack, $195L for a 4-color pack, and $1L for the demo. The Short style is a short, straight bob that falls a breath past the neckline. The hair is parted on the right and the hair in front falls down to touch the jawline. This is a beautiful and simple style is perfect for both casual and formal occasions.

Madame de Pompadour – Gwen

Today’s style is from Madame de Pompadour. This style is also available as a freebie at the Hair Fair until April 14.

The Gwen style is a medium length, layered style that falls to the shoulder blades. Some hair has been pulled back from the face with braids and into a twist at the crown. The face is framed with layered bangs of varying lengths from as short as to the eyebrows and as long as the jawline. There is a slight transparency issue with the tapering in the texture which is a very difficult area for texture design.

The Gwen style comes in a dual color pack for L$175 and the demo for this style costs L$1. The colors included are: licorice, wine, chocolate, praline, golden, caramel kiss, honey nut, sandy, fortune cookie, sunshine, lemon drop, ash, ice cream, cherry, strawberry, candy cane, orange twist, and ginger snap.

Hair Fair 2007

I hope everyone has saved up enough lindens for this event. It is finally here. The 2nd Annual Hair Fair opens today at 10:00 AM game time. A percentage of the proceeds from this even will go to Lock of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. This is a charity that is near and dear to my heart because last year I “chopped” off my hair and donated it to this organization.

When: April 6 at 10:00 AM SLT through April 14 at 11:59 PM SLT

Where: Hermit Haven and Prim Paradise

Philanthropy: 30% of the proceeds from at least one style per designer will go to Lock of Love.

Special Events:
Bald hair designers? Yes, that is correct. There will be pictures of several designers bald as a coot. If you can correctly guess who they are you can win a cash prize.
Four special hairstyles designed by teams of hair designers will be auctioned off throughout the fair. Place your bid on any of the one-of-a-kind projects throughout the week. the winning bids will be announced shortly after Hair Fair closes.
April 14th – The last day of the hair fair everyone is asked to wear bandanas in place of prim hair. Special bandanas will be for sale through the Hair Fair with 100% of the proceeds going to Lock of Love.
20 questions and win $18,000L. Answer the 20 questions correctly and be entered into a drawing to win as much as $18,000L.
