The Brat style is a fun pair of messy buns that sit low behind the ears. There are wild wisp of hair that curl out of the buns. The hair in front is parted down the part on the bangs slightly off center. The bangs themselves swoop out towards the ear slightly covering the corner of the left eye. This style has the amazing ability to take ages off your avatar so if you are looking for a younger, fresh look this hair is from you.

The Jessica II style is a long, wavy style that falls down to mid-back in layers. The face is framed with similar layers with the ears being completely covered. The Maryanne style is a short, straight style that falls just past the neckline and curl out, up and back in to form a perfect curl completely around the head from ear to ear. There is a straight cut bang that crossed the brow with a slight curl under. The rest of the hair is held back from the face with a leopard print ribbon. The entire style, including the bow on the ribbon, is well sculpted and suits the new island’s 50s them rather well. Pair this style with Vanessa from LaynieWear and you will look like you stepped out of the pages of Cosmopolitan 1955.

The Maryanne style costs $1L for a 10-color pack. The colors included are: antimatter, black pearl, burgundy, chestnut, fudge, grape, marble brown, pink, shiny black, and vanilla.

The Alicia style is a short, straight cut that is parted down the middle and falls to the jawline. The bangs are straight cut across the top of the brow with razored edges. The back is pulled up into a mass of random spikes. Okay, does anyone else see the big problem with this style? Anyone else notice that giant line that just jumps right off the style? This line should not be here at all. The alignment of the prims is off enough to be distracting. The textures were hard to evaluate because I was too distracted by the nasty line.

The Alicia style costs L$150 for a full color pack. The colors included are: bubblegum, cotton candy, mint, tangerine, and violaceous.

1. Have demos for all styles in the shop. There is nothing more annoying them seeing a style you like, having no idea how it will look on you, and there is no demo to try.

2. Put an identifier in hair demos. People do not always have the money at the time they try on the demo and want to come back to that style when they can afford it. If the demo is only called “braids” then the potential buyer has no clue what shop that demo came from. Good idea would be to include a landmark in the demo box. I cannot tell you how many styles at the Hair Affair had no landmarks in them.

3. Please put your shop in your profile picks. If you have no identifier with your demo and the buyer has to search for the creator’s name it would be nice if the shop was listed in the picks for a quick teleport.

4. Put landmarks in all things: demos, hair, freebies, specials, everything.

5. Any “catches” or “special conditions” need to be revealed in a notecard with the demo like “this style really has fans attached to it but the demo doesn’t show that”, “you need to resize your head if you cannot adjust hair properly”, or “you will quack like a duck if you wear the yellow texture”.

6. If you say you have a freebie, then it should cost L$0 aka free. If it costs L$1 then this is no longer free and should be called something else like dollarbie.

7. And most important, for God’s sake, if you make a dollarbie or freebie hairstyle make sure that the quality reflects what you sell in your shop. This is how newbies will be judging if they are going to be repeat customers when they have real money so do not blow this opportunity to make a first impression.

From here on all L$1 styles will be called dollarbies. :)

The Lemonade style is a short, choppy flip with two hair volume columns arcing from the hairline around the crown of the head. The bangs are are short and curled under in a style that is similar to Bettie Page bangs. The hair frames the ears on the side so it is easy to fit. This style is one of my personal favorites and you cannot beat the price.

The Lemonade style costs L$1 fir a four color pack which come in small, medium and large.
